Parippu Vada Recipe
Ingredients:
- Tur Dhal (Parippu) - 1 cup
- Shallots chopped - 1/2 cup
- Green chili - 3 nos
- Dried red chili - 2 nos
- Ginger - 3/4 tbsp
- Curry leaves - 1 sprig
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - for deep frying
Preparation:
- Soak the tuar dal for at least 2 hours. Drain the water completely.
- Grind the dal, red chilli to a coarse paste without adding water.
- Mince the onion, ginger and curry leaves. Mix everything together.
- Heat the oil. Make patties and drop into the hot oil.
- Cook until the vada is golden brown.
- Remove from the oil to a paper napkin.
