Roti Recipes

Poori Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Atta - 400 gms
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Water


Preparation:

  1. Sieve the atta. Add oil to flour.
  2. Add salt and enough water to make a stiff dough.
  3. Keep the dough for atleast 1 hour. Knead well with oiled hands.
  4. Make balls and then roll out to 2 mm thickness and 3 to 4 inch diameter.
  5. Fry pooris gently pressing down with a flat spoon in a circular motion.
  6. When puffed up, turn over till it becomes lightly brown on both sides.
  7. Drain on paper and serve hot with channa masala or vegetable curry.
