Fried Rice Recipe
Ingredients:
- Basmati rice - 1 cup
- Onion (thinly sliced) - 1 medium
- Spring onions (finely chopped) - 1 bunch
- Carrot (finely chopped) - 1 nos
- Cabbage leaves (finely chopped) - 3 nos
- French Beans (finely chopped) - 7 nos
- Broccoli Florets - 1/2 cup
- Green peas - 1/4 cup
- Oil - 5 tbsp
- Aji-no-moto - ¼ tsp
- Soy sauce - 2 tbsp
- Red chilli sauce - 2 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp (Optional)
Preparation:
- Boil the Basmati rice with a little salt and 1 tsp oil, till each grain is separate and almost cooked. Drain and keep it to cool.
- Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan and add onions and saute till golden brown.
- Add all the vegetables (except spring onions) and stir fry for around 5-7 minutes till it becomes crispy.
- Add the spring onions, salt, ajinomoto and sauces and stir for a few minutes and keep aside. Add more chilly sauce if you like the Fried Rice to be spicy.
- Heat a wok or Frying Pan and add 2 tbsps of oil.
- Add the cooked rice and stir-fry for a few minutes.
- Stir in the cooked vegetables and sauces and combine the rice and vegetables gently, till the rice is evenly coated. Sprinkle some pepper powder at the end.
- The Fried Rice is ready to be served hot.
