Ghee Rice Recipe
Ingredients:
- Basmati Rice - 2 cups
- Ghee - ¼ cup
- Coconut milk - 1/2 cup
- Onions (thinly sliced) - 2 Cup
- Chinnamon (broke into pieces) - 1 small
- Cloves - 1/4 tsp
- Bay leaves - 2
- Cardamom crushed - 6 nos
- Ginger garlic paste - 1/4 tsp
- Roasted Cashews and Raisins - for garnishing
- Salt - to taste
Preparation:
- Wash the rice throughly and drain the water.
- Keep a thick bottomed pan on the stove and add ghee.
- Add onions, cinnamon, bay leaves,cloves, ginger garlic paste and cardamom and fry for 2-3 minutes.
- After that add the rice which is kept aside and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Once done remove ingredients to a pressure cooker and coconut milk, water and salt and pressure cook till the rice is done.
- Mix roasted cashews and raisins and leave aside for 15 minutes. Serve warm.
