Mutton Pepper Fry Recipe
Ingredients:
- Mutton - 1/2 kg
- Chilly powder - 2 tbsp
- Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves - 1 sprig
- Green chillies - 6 nos
- Ginger(chopped) - 1 tbsp
- Red onions (Kunjulli) - 1 cup (chopped)
- Pepper(crushed) - 1 tbsp
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Salt - As reqd
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Coconut oil - 1/4 cup
Preparation:
- Clean and cut mutton into medium pieces.
- Cook the mutton along with chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, ginger-garlic paste and a few curry leaves in a pressure cooker.
- Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
- Splutter mustard seeds.
- Add curry leaves, shallots, green chillies and ginger and saute, till it becomes golden brown.
- Add the cooked mutton and cook, till the oil separates and is well roasted.
- Add pepper and garam masala and saute for 1-2 mins.
- Garnish with curry leaves.
- Serve with rice or chapati.
