Kerala Breakfast Dishes
Uppuma Recipe
Ingredients:
- Rava - 2 cups
- Chopped Onion - medium 2 nos
- Chopped Green Chilly - 4 nos
- Crushed Ginger - 1/2 inch long
- Curry leaves - 2 Sprigs
- Mustard seed - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander leaves - little
- Ghee - 2 tsp
- Salt - to taste
Preparation:
- Heat the rava till it becomes mild brown.
- Heat the ghee and fry the mustard seed.
- Add chopped onion, chilly, ginger and coriander leaves to it and fry for 2 minutes.
- Add 5 cups water and boil.
- Add rava to the boiling water little by little stirring the water properly.
- Cook until it is thick
- Serve it with hot with bananas.
