Kerala Biryani Recipes

Beef Biryani Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Beef- 1kg
  • Basmati Rice - 1 kg
  • Sliced Onion - 6 nos
  • Green chilly - 12 nos
  • Ginger paste - 2 tsp
  • Garlic paste - 6 nos
  • Ghee - 8 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - half tsp
  • Coconut Oil - as required
  • Corriander leaves - 50 gms
  • Tomato - 1
  • Curd - 1cup
  • Pepper powder - 1 tsp
  • Kismis - 50 gms
  • Cashewnut - 50 gms
  • Garam masala powder-2 tsp
  • Cinnamon - 4 pieces
  • Grampoo - 6 nos
  • Cardamom - 6 nos


Preparation:

  1. Apply garam masala powder and salt on meat.
  2. Keep for 30minutes and cook.
  3. Heat oil in a large saucepan.
  4. Fry onion, green chilly, ginger paste, and garlic paste.
  5. Stirring constantly until it becomes brown.
  6. Add chilli, coriander, turmeric and stir for 5minutes.
  7. Add sliced tomato and fry.
  8. Add cooked meat and curd to the gravy and stir.
  9. In low flame allow the gravy become thick.
  10. Fry rice in ghee.
  11. Add require water, cinnamon, grampoo, cardamom and cook.
  12. Make sure the rice becomes half boiled.
  13. Fry onion, kismis, and cashew nut in little ghee.
  14. Cover and cook the rice and curry one by one to a baking vessel for few minutes.
  15. After that pour remaining ghee.
  16. Garnish with coriander leaves, fried onion, kismis and cashew nut.
  17. Serve the hot biriyani.
The flavour and taste of biriyani depend on the quality of the rice.
